The Waterhouse Center

The Waterhouse Center is a beautiful, new open-sided 100’ x 120’ pavilion at 51 Main Street.  Located in the downtown, this youth and family pavilion will provide four season events and festivals for family and youth. The facility hosts ice skating in the winter and events throughout the rest of the year.

The Waterhouse Center represents a new social connection. Available to the community at large, the center will provide a new economic “engine” to the community. It will serve as a host for tourism, festivals, events, and other activities, all the while supporting local businesses. The center will serve as a new hub for the downtown, building on the strengths of this vibrant community.

Kennebunk resident Geraldine Waterhouse and her granddaughter Paige Hill have donated $1.5 million to the Waterhouse Youth Endowment Fund to benefit youth opportunities in downtown Kennebunk. The endowment program provides annual operating support to the facility for a number of year-round activities. The combination of this central location and ongoing program support will ensure that its’ mission “to support the betterment of children” is fulfilled.

Fundraising Efforts/ Donations
The Town of Kennebunk is inviting you to be a part of a very special commemorative opportunity. To help fund this incredible project, we are offering two ways to donate:

Special Recognition Plaque – All names of donors will be recognized on one special bronze-type plaque, which will be mounted on the front of the Pavilion.

Buy-A-Brick – Personalized, engraved bricks are a great way to honor a special person, family member or group; to commemorate a special occasion; to feature your business or organization; or to be used in memoriam. Your individualized brick will be engraved with your selected name or phrase and will become a lasting tribute, paving the way for generations to come. These bricks will be interspersed amongst other brick pavers around the pavilion.
