Bicentennial Parade

It’s the 200th celebration of Kennebunk in 2020! Join in the celebration of our Town’s birthday by joining the Kennebunk Bicentennial Parade on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11:00 am.

Our parade theme is “Rooted in Tradition,” and participants are encouraged to highlight their personal connections to Kennebunk’s history and culture in their displays.

Entrants in the parade can include businesses, individuals, organizations, neighborhoods and schools, in the form of floats, marching/walking groups, performers/bands, mascots, antique autos, and other unique units. A Judges Panel will award First, Second and Third prizes – plus a Viewer’s Choice - for units in the parade. Let’s make this a 200th celebration to remember!

The parade will begin on Water Street, and proceed up Main Street. At Dane Street, units will turn right, continue down toward Parsons Field, and take a right onto Park Street. The parade will ends at Winter Street.

How else can you participate? Mark your calendars for June 27, 2020 and come watch the parade! Viewing areas include Main Street sidewalks, Dane Street sidewalks, and Parsons Field.

Interested participants must fill out a Application (PDF) that includes a rough description of their unit.
