A Helping Sand

The Kennebunk Police Department is pleased to offer this program, intended to support seniors and homebound residents. 

The Town of Kennebunk offers a public sand pile at the Public Services and Transfer Station facility, located at 36 Sea Road. The sand pile is located to the left upon entering the site, just inside the front gate. Residents may fill one 5 gallon bucket per storm of this winter sand mix (sand mixed with salt).

This program is for older adults that are otherwise not able to pick up sand/salt from the public sand pile located at the Public Services facility on Sea Road. Those in need may request a bucket of sand by completing the form below. A Kennebunk Police Officer will make a delivery as soon as possible once a request is received.

This program is generously supported by our local Lowe's Home Improvement store #2388 in Sanford, and our local Biddeford Home Depot, who donated buckets for use in this program.
