Town Manager Recruitment Process
In January of 2022, Kennebunk Town Manager Michael Pardue announced his retirement after more than forty years of municipal service, with the last six as Kennebunk Town Manager.
Per the Kennebunk Town Charter, the Select Board is responsible for appointing the Town Manager. The Board has undertaken a search process, which includes sourcing the services of an experienced executive search firm to recruit and hire the next Town Manager.
The Town solicited proposals from experienced executive search firms to assist in recruiting applicants for the position of Town Manager.
The following three proposals were submitted for consideration:
The selection process may include interviews in which consultants will be asked to make presentations of their recruitment approach and services. An RFP Review Committee will evaluate and score each submission and based upon all of the evaluation criteria and interview, the Town may select a preferred consultant.
