Efficiency Maine is the independent administrator for energy efficiency programs in Maine. Efficiency Maine offers a variety of home energy savings programs, including rebates and tax credits for making your home more efficient.

Habitat for Humanity's Keep York County Warm! Program 

Keep York County Warm! helps residents reduce their energy costs and improve their comfort, health, safety and air quality inside the home. This program provides weatherization service at no cost to low-income homeowners each year. Habitat for Humanity is utilizing rebates from Efficiency Maine's low-income home energy savings program to provide each homeowner with $1,050 of weatherization services. Each home will receive custom built interior storm window inserts. 

Window Dressers - custom energy savings window inserts

Additionally, Keep York County Warm! partners with Window Dressers to provide insulating window inserts to homeowners and renters through their volunteer Community Workshop program. These reusable, removable inserts function as interior storm windows, saving a typical home an average of 105 gallons of heating fuel every year. 

WindowDressers is a volunteer-driven non-profit organization dedicated to helping Maine residents reduce heating costs, fossil fuel consumption, and CO-2 emissions by lowering the amount of heat loss through windows.

York County Community Action

Each year, YCCAC provides Weatherization Services to about 250 homes in all 29 of the county’s towns and cities. Energy-saving upgrades may include attic insulation and venting, crawl-space insulation and venting, sidewall insulation, wrapping pipes, and draft reduction measures.

On average, each home that goes through the YCCAC Weatherization Program receives approximately $7,200 worth of upgrades ensuring you will have a safer, healthier, and more energy-efficient home.
