Sharing Instagram post: OUCH

sea wall and sidewalk damage

OUCH. This photo falls very short at depicting the degree of damage the last several high tides have generated at Kennebunk beaches. Kudos to Public Services and Public Safety personnel for keeping the area clear of debris and therefore as safe as it can be given the loss of portions of the sea wall and adjacent sidewalks. Huge amount of work and expense lies ahead but we are already “on it.” Please be careful if you are taking a peek, as structural integrity assessment of wall, sidewalk and roadway remains a work in progress.

Zamboni Drivers Rock......

Skating Penguin
Did you ever wonder how the ice at the Waterhouse Center stays so perfect?  Well, let me tell you about the VOLUNTEER Zamboni Drivers. These folks spend endless volunteer hours at the rink, insuring you and I have a clean and smooth surface on which to practice our Triple Salchow  (some say Sow Cow) jump or, if you are so Camel.

So, when you are down at the Waterhouse Center, please take a moment to tell a Zamboni driver - THANK YOU.

Healthy Steps - Stayin' Alive

Healthy Plate
Yesterday, the campus of Town Hall was populated with numerous health and wellness providers. All of those great folks, to include 15 students from the University of New England, were here to help our staff learn more about the importance of nutrition, stress management and work / life blending. In addition, financials advisors met with personnel as properly managing our finances is key to our overall well-being. Many thanks to the providers that made us a part of their day and my thanks to staff for making health and wellness a part of their daily life. More to come on our steps toward improved health....stay tuned.
