Holiday Help is Available

Holiday food assistance is available

The Town of Kennebunk is pleased to partner with local organizations offering holiday assistance to our residents. If you or someone you know could use help this holiday season, please contact the Social Services office.

Holiday food baskets

Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets are available upon request. This service is offered by COS of the Kennebunks. Please contact the General Assistance office at (207) 985-2102 ext. 1342 to request a basket, or for more information.

Community Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners

Project Pilgrim is an annual complimentary Thanksgiving Day dinner prepared and served at St. Martha’s Church in Kennebunk. Volunteers welcome hundreds of guests each year and also offer take out meals and make deliveries to home bound individuals. For more information please contact Community Harvest at (207) 967-1911. In addition, each year the West Kennebunk Village Committee also hosts a free Thanksgiving Day meal from 12:00-2:00 p.m., held at the Dorothy Stevens Community Center. This event is open to the public and all are invited to this community holiday meal.

The Noel Dinner is an annual complimentary Christmas Day dinner prepared and served at St. Martha’s Church in Kennebunk. This festive celebration features a delicious meal and holiday entertainment. For more information please contact Community Harvest at (207) 967-1911. Take out meals are offered and home delivery options may be available to home bound individuals. 

Secret Santa program

Secret Santa provides Christmas gifts to children living in Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Arundel whose families need help doing so. Applications are available beginning in mid-October each year or may be picked up on the second floor of Town Hall. Please call (207) 985-2102 x 1342 with any questions. All requests are strictly confidential.

Elder Elves

The Senior Center at Lower Village provides generous gift bags full of wrapped Christmas gifts and surprises for home bound seniors or those without family nearby in Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Arundel. FMI, contact the Kennebunk Town Office at (207) 985-2102 ext. 1342.
