The Town of Kennebunk continues to respond to Federal and State recommendations related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

- Proposed Municipal Budget will be re-examined at a Special Meeting on Saturday, April 18 at 8:30 a.m. - Due to the sharp decline in the economy from the continued concern over COVID-19, various revenues that offset the Town's operating expenses are now projected to be significantly lower during FY20-21. A joint meeting of the Select Board and Budget Board will be held on April 18. Town staff will present recommended modifications to the FY20-21 budget that was previously reviewed and approved in February. View the Municipal Budget webpage for more information.
- Town Announces Plan to Reengage the Community - The Town has announced the formation of a task force to reengage the community in response to the anticipated regression of the Coronavirus as well as a task force to identify a best practices approach to reopening our municipal facilities. - New Election Date: July 14, 2020 - The May 14, 2020 Special Town Meeting and the June 9, 2020 Annual Town Meeting have both been moved to July 14, 2020. Visit the Election and Town Meeting Information page for additional information.
- Update regarding PAYT Town Trash Bags - Kennebunk trash bags are still required for the curbside collection of trash as the cost of the curbside collection service is paid through the purchase of these bags. Residents who are able to use the Town's blue or purple trash bags should continue to do so. Residents that have concerns about entering stores for this purchase or are experiencing an economic setback, may use any bag they have available through April 30. If you need assistance purchasing Town trash bags or are unable to afford them at this time, please contact the Town at 985-4811 or via email.
