How do I get personal property back if it has been taken by police or turned in as lost and found?
Personal property retrieval needs to be done in person at the Kennebunk Police Department. Formal identification is required to be presented. Prior to arriving at the police department; however, individuals need to schedule an appointment to meet with a member of the Criminal Investigations Division so arrangements can be made. Due to police accreditation standards and department policies, property can only be released by property/evidence technicians. Appointments can be made by contacting Detective Stephen Borst at 207.604.1319.
