The Town of Kennebunk recently launched the "Slow Down Kennebunk" speeding prevention campaign.

The second video in the campaign urges drivers to slow down for pedestrians and children who use the streets to walk, bike or get on and off the school bus. Select Board member Lisa Pratt and her two children, Charlotte and Meyer Pratt, are featured in this 30 second public service announcement. Watch the video now.

"Slow Down Kennebunk" is a community approach to decreasing speeding in Kennebunk. The goal of the campaign is to create awareness of the issue, educate the public on the dangers and implications of speeding, and gain voluntary compliance in driving the posted speed limits. The campaign comes in response to an uptick in speeding in the Town of Kennebunk and concern from Town residents. The campaign emphasizes voluntary compliance.

"Slow Down Kennebunk" yard signs are available for pick up at the Town Clerk’s office Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm while supplies last. Residents who experience speeding in their neighborhoods are encouraged to place a sign on their residential property to help create awareness about the issue.
