[ARCHIVED] Police Chief to offer Community Training: Recognizing & Responding to an Opiod Overdose

Classroom training with Chief MacKenzie

In April, Chief MacKenzie will offer a two-part class through RSU 21’s Adult Education program.

The first of two sessions offered will be held on April 10th, and is a community forum/panel discussion on how the current opiod epidemic is affecting our communities, what is currently being done to address it and what more we as a community can do. The second session offered on April 12th will be a training class to recognize and respond to an opiod overdose. The public is encouraged to attend one or both sessions.

“I am afraid that we will continue to see more and more of these deaths in our community if we do not pull together to combat it. There is hope for recovery. I’ve seen it first hand, several times over,” says MacKenzie.

Please contact Police Chief Robert MacKenzie at (207) 985-2102, ext.1339 for more information.
